Heavensent(Collette), continuing on with the WT Challenges for September with "Back-to-School" supplies, gave us the theme of "Bookmark".
I am an avid reader and value my books and those of others......that being said, I would NEVER use a thick, multi-layered bookmark that could cause the pages to spread permanently. That is why I chose heavy weight vellum for my bookmark. It should be sturdy enough to last for quite a while. The ribbons make it easy to find and they hang outside of the closed book.
This will be a holiday card for one of my fellow "reading" friends.

A book a week? I am completely impressed. I am a reader, too........Don't know why but the "wouldn't you like to be a pepper too" came into my head. Sorry, I digress!
This is such a wonderful bookmark on the vellum. Great idea. Have to try it.

Look at you Sallie! Sooo pretty all in soft blues and white. What a fun wintery snowy bookmark. Reminds me of cauzying up in a warm blanket in my favorite cumfy chair too and reading along on a cold winters day. Love it. Peggy

What a great idea! I like the fact you used several ribbons so the bookmark is easily noticed, and since it's with a Christmas card, you have taken care of 2 things today! = )
